Lead Supply Chain Excellence in a Continuous Manufacturing
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to drive efficiency across our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is critical to ensuring seamless production flow, optimal inventory management, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will lead a dedicated team and work cross-functionally to balance production capacity, material availability, and customer commitments while driving continuous improvement across all supply chain functions.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will own supply chain planning and execution, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment across production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics operations.
Production Planning & Finite Scheduling:
- Maintain accurate finite schedules for all pacemakers.
- Monitor and analyze production volume by major product group.
- Maintain accurately dated production orders and provide strategic guidance to supervisors and managers on production priorities.
Inventory & Material Management:
- Plan raw material and subassembly needs and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Monitor and disposition non-conforming product.
- Manage slow-moving and surplus inventory to drive consumption or financial reservation.
- Adjust perpetual inventories based on cycle counts.
- Oversee receiving, packaging, finished goods management, customer-owned inventory, and shipping operations.
Supplier & Procurement Coordination:
- Routinely follow up on open purchase orders with suppliers.
- Build strong supplier relationships.
Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Drive continuous improvement across local Supply Chain and related areas.
- Represent Supply Chain at daily tier meetings.
- Utilize training to build team capability and resilience.
- Ensure adherence to plant safety protocols and Rules of Conduct.
Leading Your Team
You will provide direct leadership and development to a high-performing supply chain team, including one DC Manager, two Supply Chain Schedulers, and three Supply Chain Planners.
This role offers the opportunity to build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while coaching a team that supports the uninterrupted operation of the factory.
What Makes You a Strong Fit:
Required Experience & Education:
- At least three years’ experience in finite production scheduling within an ERP system is strongly preferred.
- At least one year experience each in raw material planning and freight planning is preferred.
- A four-year degree in a business or technical field is preferred.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and business principles.
Leadership & Professional Attributes:
- Strong leadership skills with ability to develop and execute continuous improvement strategies to deliver results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences ranging from executives to front-line team members.
- Self-managed work style with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where speed, accuracy, and multitasking are essential.
Regular electronic interaction with internal and external business partners at all levels of the organization is expected.
Work is typically Monday thru Friday office hours but can require occasional unexpected support at other times since the factory is a continuous operation.
