Maintenance Supervisor - Night Shift (7pm - 7am)

Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Execution:
  • Inspect equipment periodically to identify problems and determine necessary maintenance.
  • Prepare and manage weekly maintenance schedules, including work allocation.
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (e.g., heating, ventilation, etc.).
  • Participate in the coordination of maintenance and facility-related projects.
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Recruit, interview, hire, supervise, and train maintenance technicians and tradesmen (e.g., electricians, mechanics).
  • Supervise and provide ongoing training and development for technicians.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in the development of the entire maintenance team.
  • Promote and facilitate a positive culture change within the team.
Budgeting, Inventory & Resource Management:
  • Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and equipment to ensure availability and efficiency.
Compliance, Quality & Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and all health and safety regulations.

Requirements and Skills:
Experience & Education:
  • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • At least 1–3 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
  • Technical associate’s degree preferred.
Technical Knowledge & Expertise:
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing best practices.
Core Competencies:
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Systems & Tools:
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) strongly preferred.
  • Computer savvy, with experience in Microsoft Office.
Certifications:
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMRP) is a plus.
