Why Build Your Career with Prysmian?

Your work at Prysmian helps power and connect the world.

When you join Prysmian, you become part of a global team whose work touches millions of lives every day. You’ll help support the energy and digital infrastructure that keeps communities, businesses, and industries moving forward.

For more than 140 years, Prysmian has helped shape the infrastructure that powers progress. From helping illuminate the Statue of Liberty in 1886 and delivering power from Hoover Dam to Los Angeles in 1935, to supporting New York City's rebuilding efforts after September 11, our cables and connectivity solutions have played a role in some of history's most significant milestones.

Today, our impact continues. Prysmian products help power world class venues like Paycor Stadium, SoFi Stadium, and Lambeau Field. We're contributing to the infrastructure supporting the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, helping ensure communities, businesses, and industries stay connected to what matters most.

In this role, you will serve as the on-site HR leader for the Du Quoin manufacturing facility, partnering with plant and regional leaders to align people strategy, labor relations, workforce capability, and HR execution with business priorities.

What You’ll Bring:
Experience and Qualifications:
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, plus at least 7 years of progressive HR experience with leadership responsibility in manufacturing or a similarly complex environment.
  • You bring demonstrated labor-relations experience in a unionized environment, including collective bargaining agreement interpretation, grievances, discipline, investigations, and union engagement.
  • You are a strong business partner and communicator with analytical, organizational, change-leadership, and team-development skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS, and workforce reporting is required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.

What You’ll Do:
As HR Manager, you’ll lead the site HR function and build a reliable, trusted operating model in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment. You’ll combine strategic partnership with visible, hands-on leadership and disciplined follow-through.
  • Lead the site HR team.  Set clear ownership, decision rights, operating rhythms, and service expectations while coaching the team to deliver responsive, consistent support and strengthen trust with employees and leaders.
  • Strengthen labor relations.  Partner with union and operations leadership, interpret the collective bargaining agreement, support negotiations, manage discipline and investigations, and ensure timely responses to Step 2 grievances.
  • Plan the workforce.  Use headcount, turnover, absenteeism, staffing, labor cost, engagement, and training data to forecast needs, identify risks, and guide workforce and succession plans.
  • Build talent and capability.  Oversee recruiting, onboarding, performance management, P+, development, succession, and training governance while strengthening supervisor and leader accountability.
  • Drive compliant execution.  Standardize HR processes and controls, oversee leave, benefits, workers’ compensation, payroll/timekeeping, records, and reporting, and ensure compliance with employment laws, company standards, and collective-bargaining obligations.

You’ll have the opportunity to make an impact, build strong partnerships, and grow your career in a business that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
