Overview: 
This position is responsible to the Production Supervisor for monitoring and controlling various systems and processes within a designated control room environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and smooth operation of equipment and systems while adhering to established protocols and procedures. Your keen attention to detail and ability to react swiftly to emergent situations will be essential in this role.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Continuously monitor and oversee the operation of various equipment and systems within the control room, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and in accordance with established standards.
  • Promptly respond to alarms, alerts, and emergency situations by taking appropriate actions to mitigate potential risks, maintain safety, and minimize downtime.
  • Follow established control procedures to regulate and adjust equipment settings, parameters, and processes as needed to maintain optimal performance and compliance with operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of operations, incidents, and equipment status, and report any deviations, abnormalities, or issues to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities and facilitate a smooth flow of information regarding operations and incidents.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks to identify any potential issues and ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and operational issues in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and maintain the efficiency of the control room operations.
  • Using thorough up-to-date knowledge of the process and equipment for which they are responsible, plans work and production for the shift.  
  • Identifying and recommending changes to improve plant reliability and increase performance and output.
  • Perform other tasks that are reasonable to the job as requested by plant management.

Qualifications: 
  •  Hands-on troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing or process environment, including diagnosing and resolving equipment, process, or system issues (e.g., HMI-based systems, material flow, thermal/processing issues).
  •  Experience troubleshooting production equipment or process systems, including interpreting system data, alarms, or HMI interfaces and making real-time adjustments. Experience may come from operator-led roles, process technician roles, maintenance-adjacent roles, or similar hands-on manufacturing positions.
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience. 

Education:  
Preferred Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or relevant experience in a control room or compounding facility.
