The DC Supervisor oversees a team of shift leads and floor associates to ensure distribution center operations meet daily and monthly performance goals. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment while ensuring all floor processes are executed correctly. The supervisor monitors lead performance, confirms proper associate supervision, and addresses operational gaps in real time. Key responsibilities include driving on-time delivery, clearing backlog, meeting monthly targets, and preventing customer complaints. The supervisor coordinates closely with shipping, trucking, and logistics partners to ensure adequate transportation coverage for nightly shipments. This role also tracks daily performance against monthly deliverables, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and execution excellence.

Brief Summary of Primary Duties:
  • Communicate and administer Prysmian Group policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a safe work environment at all times.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
  • Coordinate between different groups such as logistics and maintenance.
  • Resolve conflicts on the shop floor.
  • Perform necessary clerical activities such as time or record keeping.
  • Drive quality and cost saving initiatives.
  • Guide, mentor, and lead shop floor associates.

Specific Skills/Training Required:
  • Computer skills & ability that allow them to enter data, use email, and basic office programs.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to use written work instructions to complete task.

Education:
  • High School/GED Diploma.

Experience:
  • Experience leading a team, preferably on the floor/in plant environment.
  • SAP experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Excel for reporting.
  • Previous production/cable making experience preferred but not required.

Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas.
  • Hearing Protection required in posted areas.
  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours on concrete floors.
